To acommodate the large number of freshman instrumentalists and vocalists who entered Clarkstown in 1967, the music Department partitioned its program to include a freshman band and freshman chorus. Freshmen playing stringed instruments, however, were included in the regular orchestra because of their relatively small number. This new arrangement was instituted to give more individual attention to each student.
