Fortieth reunion - November 3-4, 2007
The Clarkstown class of '67 fortieth reunion was held the weekend of November 3-4, 2007 at the Park Ridge Marriott in Park Ridge, New Jersey.
The main event was Saturday evening, but our reunion event was spread out over three days, starting with the early-bird gathering on Friday evening at O'Casey's bar at the Marriott.
On Saturday during the day, there was a bus tour of New City and a guided tour of the High School led by principal Harry Leonardatos. We finished up with a stop at Rockland bakery for breads and cookies.
Saturday evening was the main event: the dinner buffet, with DJ and dancing. The hall was decorated with purple and gold balloons, and over thirty photographs from the various elementary school classes we attended. (You can see all the photos on the elementary school page, and even download or print them yourself.)
On Sunday morning, some of us gathered one last time for brunch at the Marriott, before saying our goodbyes.

Reunion committee
A lot of people worked hard to bring you the Fortieth reunion. Your official reunion committee was:
- Glenda Phelan Corcione
- Janice Desmond
- Joe DiBlasi
- Linda Brann Krebs '66
- Mary E Conklin Marino
- Paul Duddy
- Peter Czukor
With additional help from Marcy Goldenberg, Eileen Miller, Jim Davies, Bill O'Connor, Rainer Bungenstock, and a special shout-out to Cora Kennedy Bana (and her husband Dhirendra) for all they did. Thanks also to all those who provided scans of elementary school photos and those who helped identify the pupils in them; we couldn't have done it without you.
Event partners
Reunion company
Our ticketing and event organization partner for this reunion was New England Reunions.
New England Reunions handled all aspects of registration including classmate search assistance, three mailings to classmates, on-line and mail registration, all funds accounting including contracting with the Marriott for the event room, printing badges for all attendees, manning the ticket booth, decorating the hall, and providing the DJ. Not to mention handling lots of questions and issues from your reunion committee. Kudos to Steve Bemis and New England Reunions.
Venue
Our event hotel was the Park Ridge Marriott, Park Ridge, New Jersey. We booked the Brookside Park rooom through Wendy Aguila in September 2006. After Wendy left, we were well taken care of by Nerissa Joven, director of Sales events at the Marriott.
Photography
Our on-site photographer was Kim Ropke, from Smiles on Site.com.
Over 70 photos can be ordered from Smiles On Site, either as individual prints, or all of them together on a single DVD. If you're ordering individual prints, you'll need to know the image number, which you can either get off the disc if you have it already, or you can contact their office to find the number. Once you have that information, go to their Order page to place your order. Kim can also be reached at 570-491-4746.
School tour
Last and certainly not least--we wish to thank Clarkstown (North) High School for welcoming us on a Saturday afternoon, the staff for organizing an instant "G.O." store for us on short notice so we could buy T-shirts and other paraphernalia, and most especially we wish to thank Principal Harry Leonardatos for taking the time to give us a great tour of both the main building, the "annex" where we spent our Junior High years, and the new Music wing connecting the two buildings.
Thank you Harry, and thanks Clarkstown!
